The buildings in the medieval center of the city are very old and are partly lacking sufficient maintenance. A socio-economic assessment was performed looking at the demography, social support, economic status, education level, housing conditions, family structures employment rate, and health conditions. The assessment highlighted the fact that this old center of Setúbal is more vulnerable than others.
